  • Can I take safestyle to court?

Hi we had our windows and doors done april 2019. Since then we have had issues. The windows wouldnt open and close..weve since had that rectified. But we quickly noticed there were other issues as we can hear road traffic and get drafts throughout our home. We contacted safestyle and they have been out 3 times. All workmen saying that we would need someone else from the company to make it right. One man took off the plastics and said there isnt adequate foam around the windows and they would have to refit. Now we are left with an even draftier home due to no plastics. We have 2 babies and our home is so cold. The wallpaper has come of in one of our babies rooms. Now that covid has happened they keep fobbing us off saying it's a full day job and would need 2 men to do it which they can't do. Weve been given a date of 2nd November but this still may not take place. Yet they are still taking on new customers and fitting windows and doors. Its costing us 5,650 on finance. We have been paying for 19 months for windows that arnt fit for purpose and costing us more money in heating and cost of redecorating. Is there anything we can do?

    Thanks

Tell them (in writing) they have until (chose your date) to put things right.
If they fail you will initiate a county court claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
