  • Friend put Thames water bill in my name without my knowledge

I am trying to help my sons girlfriend, she was living with a so called friend, who without her knowledge put the water bill in her name. She lived there for a year and wasn't aware of this until she received a letter from Adventis. She had a lot of bad personal stuff going on in her life, but now would really like to challenge this for her as she have recieced a CCJ against her.
please advise as I don't know where to start.
    Many thanks

What do you mean about a CCJ against her? Is this a claim form or an actual judgment?

I was staying with a friend of a friend renting a room, no tenancy as it was just an agreement with a friend of a friend, i was paying her £300 per month cash. However the lady was bipolar and really turned funny due to not taking her medication properly, without me knowing somehow she put the water bill in my name... I did not sign anything nor did I agree to this. Whilst at the house I never saw any letters turn up with my name on as she was always up early, it only came to light that once I moved I was getting debt letters regarding water bills for her address...

          please help

You can challenge this. I'm no expert but I think and out of time request is what you need. You will then be able to file a defence against the judgement, and if you win have it quashed.
