I got legal aid to join a class action out of time and won. But the judge said the solicitor was all over the place, so denied my costs.
So i owe legal aid money. But she would not tell me how much. So now im in class action, which was my sole aim, she starts applying for MORE legal aid againt my wishes. The contributions are killing me, and the class action is stayed anyway, so im paying for nothing. Legal aid agree to let her continue, even though i didnt want it. The class action has legal aid of its own, i dont want my own any more, especially with the debt incurred. .
So i go with it, and then immediately find im being reassesed for legal aid i didnt want, and being forced to jump through hoops.
My question is, can i say enoughs enough, stuff your legal aid, or will they then say your no longer covered so have to pay all the legal costs back now, rather than wait for my compensation.
