Hi I was wondering if I could get some advice.
just before the deadline for claiming missold ppi I was contacted by jps financial to see if I wanted to claim. I had used them in the past and already had a claim settled and told them this. They asked if there was anymore and I mentioned that there was no additional claims and that the only thing I didn’t get looked into was a claim that I was told had passed the time limit I could claim for by the credit card company. This was around the time I was originally in contact with JPS so I expected them to have a records of this.
The advisor said that this could still be looked at and there would be no harm in checking.
I now have the invoice for payment for work that was not required and they are saying that I had not made them aware of the previous claim attempt even though I made it clear and was not intending on claiming until they told me it was possible after they contacted me.
the letter says that I have 7 days to pay or additional charges will be added.
i don’t feel I should be paying.
any advice would be appreciated
