  • Misappropriation of money

I believe a friend is being taken advantage of financially by one of their children, who is dealing with their money.

Is there any charitable legal organisations that may assist in having their situation looked at?

I have already been to the Police and Social Services but months have passed and they appear to be doing nothing.

I do not have enough money to get legal assistance for them and my visit to CAB and the free consultation with the Solicitor proved fruitless without putting money down.

I am just wondering if there is another way around this?

    you "believe"
Is your friend one person or a couple? (you go from the singular to plural in your post)
What grounds do you have for your concerns?
Have you spoken to your friend about your concerns?
Have you spoken to your friend's other children?
Is your friend aware that one of her children might be taking advantage? Could he/she/they not mind about it?

Without the possible victims co operation it is going to be extremely difficult to get help.
    Do they have capacity?
