Hoist finance ccj

Hi im looking for some advise.
i had a debt with lloyds over 10 years ago that went on my credit file and i received a ccj. This stayed on my file for the whole 6 years and was never settled. In 2016 Hoist finance bought the debt a some how managed to raise another ccj on the same debt. my question is how can i have the ccj removed, if i made an offer to Hoist, would they be able to remove the ccj?
