  • Received a letter of notice prior to proceedings

    Hello,
I don't know where to start.
I left my partner last week as she was abusive and controlling. Not to say that I was a saint but the amount of emotional abuse I suffered is unadmissible.
I left the house to go rent on my own as I was tired of the abuse and she sent me a letter of notice prior to proceedings.
I am looking for advice on how to reply back to this?

All the points she mentioned I had an answer for.
    1. She is on benefits and has a government flat. She said I forced her to live illegally as I did not want to pay rent. How can I force her as she is the tenant and it was her responsibility to declare me.
    2. She recorded conversations we had without advising me in advance that she was recording them and said she will use what I said agasint me. One thing I recall telling her is that a mechanic friend of mine was going to help pass my MOT test (as I needed to sell the car) and we will start the reparations as soon as the test is over. Which we did.
    3. That I did not pay council tax. I currently gave her half of my salary for the household every month depsite paying gas, electricity and water.
    4. That I did not pay home insurance. I never thought I had to pay this.
    5. That I did not contribute to the storage she was paying.
    6. That I did not contribute to monthly food expenses. I have bank statements showing how much I sent her per month and it's a lot adding to what she receives from the government as benefits.
    7. Emotional distress. That's a joke as I was the one who had to flee the house as her behaviour was inexcusable.

In total she is asking me for £50k+ and mentions evidence such as: what's app text and telephone conversation. I also have such evidence which proves otherwise.

Will you please help me on how to answer this letter.

    Thanks
