Hi there,
Please can I obtain some advice on the following?
My Brother received a civil claim (Small Claims) against him for a sum of money from an ex-employer. I have been helping him with this. They are claiming approximately £4,500.00
Within the response, he wants to counterclaim. After speaking to a Solicitor, they advised that if the amount that my Brother is counterclaiming for is over the original amount claimed (the counter claim is for £4,000.00) - then no Court fee is payable. Is this advice right?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
