  • Tenancy Deposit not protected

    Hello,

When my wife and I moved into our rented property... we paid a deposit which was protected by a DPS.

Over the years we had the addition of a dog to our family and our landlord requested an extra £100 as a deposit for an6 damage that might be caused as a result of the dog. Whilst I received a signed letter about this, upon checked our DPS account due to moving into our first home, I’ve noticed the extra £100 was not added to DPS and therefore doesn’t seem to be protected...

can anyone advise me on where I stand with this as the landlord is 50/50 going to kick up an unnecessary fuss about returning it.

    Thanks,
    Lucie and John
