I have three medical conditions Parkinson's, Crohn s disease and Cluster headaches. In February this year to celebrate my wife's 60th we had booked a holiday of a lifetime 3 weeks stay and cruise Asia with friends. Let me explain long travel like this does affect my conditions all relevant parties were informed including travel agency holiday was booked through. All arrangements were done last year.
Trying to keep this brief sorry, was assured by travel agency everything would be fine even up to the day of departure hugely long journey arrived at hotel in Singapore to find cruise cancelled covid 19. We travelled basic passenger level so space was tight which affects my Parkinson's but we thought I had 3 weeks to recover for return instead it was 3 days, asked if for medical reasons I could have upgrade to larger seating was told no informed agent(travel)I was not looking for 1st class only space gave reasons why and said if they contacted Parkinson's UK they would advice on probable outcomes of my condition.
Long story short was carried off aeroplane at Manchester having suffered 6hrs of intense pain barely able to move so much so I urinated myself, Carole my wife so distressed along with my friends. I am angry holiday money was refunded but we were still out of pocket. Can I claim compensation?, they offered a discount on our next booking!
