  • help needed with BW Legal

hope someone can give me advice on an ongoing problem with BW legal. 4 years ago my ex partner fraudulently ordered 2 mobile phones in my name from Talk Talk. We had broken up due to his domestic violence and as he was a drug addict this was not a one off incident. He was living at his mothers house when he fraudulently accessed my Talk Talk account and ordered 2 phones, these were delivered to my house just as I was going to work one day. As I took delivery of the package my ex partner was waiting around the corner and assualted me snatching the package. This was all witnessed by a neighbour. I was very upset and shaken up and when I got to work called the Police and also Talk Talk. The Police attended and took a statement.Talk Talk immediately barred both phones. It later transpired my ex partner had taken the phones to cash generators and sold them. As the phones were barred they were returned to Talk Talk in full so no balance should be outstanding.
Earliet this year I recieved a letter from BW Legal which was rather threatening claiming I owe 1400 pounds to Talk Talk. I phoned them and broke down on the phone explaining it was not me and it was a case of fraud and domestic violence reported to police etc.
They agreed that the phones had been returned to Talk Talk. I asked them for a break down of the 1400 pounds and also the agreement etc but they cannot provide anything.
This week I recieved more threatening letters now threatening to take me to Court. I again called them and explained it is a case of fraud etc. They would not listen at all saying it is a civil case. I am very upset and traumatised by having to keep going over the incident as it was not a nice time in my life. This morning I have now recieved the paperwork prior to BW legal raising the ccj. Do I need to attend court and explain my case taking the police paperwork etc that I have applied for? I just don't know what to do as I was a victim in all of this. I hope someone can help me.

What happened to your ex-partner, was he ever prosecuted for fraud?
