Excess mileage charge after completing all payments on 5 year PCP

Hi all, I’m looking for some advice on my position.

I recently completed paying off a Mercedes c220 with black horse and returned the car to them after the 5 year term.

during the term I had to take a new job which meant my mileage would go through the roof. As it stands I have a bill for over £16k from Blackhorse for excess mileage.

can anyone advise on this on what I could possibly do? I obviously have not got that amount of money sat around in an account in the current climate.

currently sat worried about what could possibly happen.

I have also the same issue with black horse, Although I was left with my pcp car sat on my drive from jan 2020 until only last Friday . Yes I have gone over mileage last year but the cost is so high with 20 percent on top .
