  • Passport office Newport misrepresentation

Hello, my wife and I made an appointment at the passport office in Newport in June 2019, but unfortunately the online app, was not the official passport office address, it looked the same as the official app, but it was run by some cowboys in an office in London, this was unbeknown at the time, when I made what I thought was a proper appointment, my computer would not confirm the appointment, so I tried again several times, before I received a confirmation, we turned up in Newport at the appointment time, and in due course received our new passports later in the afternoon, but when a few weeks later we received a bank statement that said we had been charged over 800 pounds, for the service, we were absolutely shocked, on checking up, we had been charged correctly by the passport office, but there were 5 other charges from this cowboy company in London, I tried to contact them but to no avail, they also have an address in Eastbourne, but again I had no idea how contact them! So that was a very expensive trip, we live in Brittany, and have been using the same passport office in Newport for years, as they offer a same day service, I am not sure if the passport office people are aware of these cowboys, but they really need to clarify that they are the only official Internet address. We really would appreciate if you could find out if other people have had the same problem, and I know there is really no chance of us having our money back, but please can you try and sort out these cowboys.

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
