I am confused about what to do about a cancelled return flight from Bangkok to London. The flight was booked through a well known agent for my wife to fly out before December then return in April but Thai Aiways cancelled all flights due to the virus. I paid for the ticket on my credit card.
The agent has made offered in place of the airline less that 25% of the full ticket price which I rejected. I put a charge back on my credit card for the proportion that I consider to be fair but I have now put the agent's back up as they say it is nothing to do with them. The CAB however say that I should be taking action against the agent. It has been 4.5 months since the returned flight was cancelled.. The agent keeps refering to the "the flight my wife did not take" not that she could have taken it as it was cancelled along with all other flights.
So in short who is liable, the agent or the airline? Can I take action or does it have to be my wife who takes action? I have given the agent a deadline of the end of August then I will take action against the agent or the airline. That will have been 5 months of inactivity. There is no indication that the the airline will make any offer of a refund so I expecting to have to go all the way with this one.
