Cancel car order deposit

We placed a deposit on a new car yesterday over the phone and paid £600 by credit card - all has been done remotely we have not visited the dealership. However overnight after sleeping on the deal and had a better offer come in from another dealership at a better price and the delivery of the new car sooner, would we be entitled to ask for our deposit back and cancel the deal. Everything has been done remotely, we have not received any paperwork or signed anything apart from paying the deposit over the phone.

Consumer Contract regulations allow a consumer upto 14 days after delivery of the goods to cancel if bought at a distance.

When purchasing you should have been given details of your cancellation rights.
