VT Motonovo Finance

Hello, I want to VT my car as I have paid over 50%. My car engine seized up after me owning the car for 2.5 years. I have always looked after the car with servicing and have had lots of work done on it. Motonovo said they will charge me for a new engine and head gasket before I cant VT it. It doesnt say that it my contract it just says as long as I took reasonable care of the car which I did. I had no warning at all of the engine seizing up, I just broke down on the M4 at 1.30am! My mechanic said the work will cost approx 4K to fix. Car is a 14 plate. Can they re charge me for this work? the car is not driving at the moment.
