Hi everyone
We viewed the property around in January and we were on the last stage of completion.
It was the day of contract exchange my broker confirmed we won’t be able to proceed due as I’m on furloughed scheme and lenders won’t extend our mortgage offer and we have to pull out.
our solicitors now sent me the final Statement to pay as abortive fees of £850 and all the searches with final payment of £1200.
Is it still fair on solicitors to charge abortive fees so much as lenders pulled out at last minute during this pandemic.
