Payment of Full and Final and how to go about it?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can advise me how to go about completing a full and final payment to Cabot Financial? i.e. Should I do this via postal and get a confirmation of their offer of full and final via letter form? Is an email enough and just pay them online? (Which seems distinctly dodgy!) In short, how do I cover myself so I never have to deal with this again?

First, you write to them and ask for the final acceptance settlement figure, and at this time you also request that this is there final acceptance of the debt, with reference number XXXXXXXXXX and once paid the debt has been cleared in full. You must have this in writing before you pay anything.
