Hi guys. A few months ago I created a post regarding Lowell as a debt I have with them was at a reduced price and I was maintaining payments. The one day I looked online and the reduction had gone? I contacted them and said they had the wrong amount, but was told I should’ve have been given a reduction. No contact was made to me and I had emailed twice for reasons but nothing. I then decided to write a complaint stating breach of contract. I received a letter yesterday from Lowell regarding the account, however it only contained a cheque of £100 and no explanation? I checked my account after and there is still no reduced amount as was previously agreed (around 50%) ? And advice or ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

Was the reduced amount agreement in writing ?

Was the reduced amount agreement to pay by instalments in place before or after they issued the claim that lead to the CCJ for the full amount?

What does the letter say that accompanied the cheque?

Hi. Thanks for reply. The reduced amount was agreed after the CCJ was given. It was being paid by monthly instalments for nearly 2 years, and then just changed without notice. The letter just states in regards to the complaint I made regarding the account. That’s it.
