In January this year 2020 we purchased a second hand car from a dealer with a full engine rebuild in 2019, having the vehicle just short of 7 months the engine has seized repair s starting at £4500 what are my rights the car is financed both the dealer and the finance company are aware of the situation and now work has been carried out (I know that they don't always like you to carry out unauthorised repairs)

Please advise exact dates when you took delivery of vehicle and when it broke down.
What date did you advise dealer/finance house of breakdown/
What was mileage when you took delivery and again when it broke down?
    Why did the engine seize?
What work has been carried out?
Between delivery and breakdown had there been any other problems?
If so was the dealer involved, and if so to what extent?
