  • VT and Credit Report

    Hoping for some advice.

I VTd my VW car in 2016 which I had on a pcp, and received a bill for excess mileage. I used the template letters provided to challenge this and raised a complaint. To cut a long story short, after many months/years of backwards and forward correspondence I moved home and forgot about the matter.

Flash forward 4 years and I discover my credit score has been very badly effected by the outstanding balance.

VW refuse to reopen the complaint and the ombudsmen can't investigate as its so far out of date.

I'm at the end of my tether now and just thinking of paying. And thoughts before I do this?

You could sue them, but that's up to you.
