  • Parking Charge Notice

    Hi
I have recieved a parking charge notice from ParkingEye.
I was initially confused as I recalled using the pay by phone app to pay for parking on the date charged. However, on checking my receipt I noticed had not updated my vehicle details.
i recently purchased a new car and my receipt clearly shows the reg of my previous car.
Do i have a case to appeal? My intent to pay was to pay for parking of the car I was in. If you think I have a case, any advice as to how i should I word it would be greatly appreciated.
It was a genuine (and rather foolish) mistake, as I was rushing to the office to pick something up.

    Thanks

You could appeal that due to an error their equipment failed to record your new number. Their equipment also accepted payment for a vehicle that they knew was not present in the car park when they permitted the ticket to be issued. As they have lost nothing then you would expect the ticket to be cancelled.
