Scotland 18 now was 17 when this happened.
Hiya, so I shoplifted obviously and got caught. ( this was an ahdh implulse But I’m glad got caught. ) they took me to the back took of primark and I admitted guilt (they had cameras,) and got a recorded police warning and was told that would be the end of that. Because I was 17 they didn’t arrest me or involve my parents so I didn’t think anything else would happen.
today my mother found a RLP letter and gave it to me and said to open it and I’d said I’d open it later.
they’re asking for £165 which I’m able to pay, I know all the advice is to ignore it however id really rather my parents didn’t know and have this ended ASAP. So if I pay, will that be the end of it? Like will they still send letters or ask for more money? I do intend to pay and I’m at my home address with family so if I received a few letters they’d be 10000% suspicious.
so if I pay, will that be it?
also, is there any excuse I can give to my parents incase questioned on what it’s about as they’re horrifyingly strict and don’t believe in mental health or anything and would take away all my money I’ve saved up and all my things which I pay for and I’d really rather not get disowned before I start college, thanks!
