  • Absence of Reasonable Care and Skill

Hey guys, I would like some advice on an issue that I am experiencing with a law firm.*
The*“The Consumer Rights Act 2015"* says that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.*In my opinion, the law firm did not use reasonable care and skill when they provided services to me.*As it is not possible to get the service done again, I want a price reduction or in this case refund. The original quote was £1,617.30, the final amount to pay is £2497.76*(41% increase). Also, there were a*plethora*of mistakes on legal paperwork (wrong lender, including extra fees etc). They failed to follow up on*Seller Solicitors. I have evidenced the mistakes and the increase in the quote.*
I would expect a refund of between 25%-50%*+ any charges that I will incur as a result of*the law firm not processing my transaction in time. I have since done a subject access request which evidences the mistakes and they have offered me two subsequent reductions in fees that are not adequate in my opinion. Please can someone offer some advice?*
