  • Moving into new property. (Council tax)

I’ve just moved into a new property. I received my council tax band and the amount for my monthly payments. After looking into my payments the council have divided the payments for a full year into 8 months from July to February. I’ve moved house twice before and normally payments just carry over for the year but I’m new to the area so I’ve not lived in this borough before. Is this correct or should I contact the council?

It is correct but you should only pay from the date you moved in to the end of the financial year.

I've also faced some issues with taxes while moving in Sydney. In my case I had to contact the council in order to fix the problem.

In my case, when I had a similar problem with taxes, I was advised which steps I have to take, to fix the issue. I was lucky to find a trusted company “removals sydney”. Its customer service was on the highest level, and they were giving me pieces of advice throughout the process. I’m very thankful to them for the support and professional attitude. When I saw the way they work, the stress was taken out. They handled all my stuff with the utmost care. I should also mention, that these guys are very punctual and all the work was done in time. So I didn’t have any problems with this company.
