VT Excess mileage costs - Please help

Hi, i've just VT'd my Audi and there were excess miles when I handed the car over.* Audi Finance are now trying to charge me £1,500. I simply can't afford this payment, I handed the car over due to being unable to keep up the repayments.* *Is there anything I can do to dispute these costs?*

Any advice/Help would be greatly appreciated.*
