I have a computer game that I play daily, which is growing in popularity. This game is quite complicated and having printed out maps and graphs helps a lot.
I was thinking about producing my own maps (original illustrations, no copies or screenshots from in-game) and to sell these online as laminated A3 pieces.
My questions are:
Any other relevant points welcome.
Thanks all

I was thinking about producing my own maps (original illustrations, no copies or screenshots from in-game) and to sell these online as laminated A3 pieces.
My questions are:
- Do I fall foul or copyright infringement at the outset? The maps would be original content in the sense I produced everything myself (i.e. icons, graphics) but they would be based on the spatial layout of in-game environments.
- Would it be ok to mention aspects of the game in my map? i.e. game name, map name, character names
- Could I use the same acronym for the game in my domain name? i.e. if the game was called ‘Super-Cool-Shooter’ then is it ok to call my website SCSmaps.com?
Any other relevant points welcome.
