  • Can I make and sell a map for a computer game without infringing copyright?

I have a computer game that I play daily, which is growing in popularity. This game is quite complicated and having printed out maps and graphs helps a lot.

I was thinking about producing my own maps (original illustrations, no copies or screenshots from in-game) and to sell these online as laminated A3 pieces.

    My questions are:
    • Do I fall foul or copyright infringement at the outset? The maps would be original content in the sense I produced everything myself (i.e. icons, graphics) but they would be based on the spatial layout of in-game environments.
    • Would it be ok to mention aspects of the game in my map? i.e. game name, map name, character names
    • Could I use the same acronym for the game in my domain name? i.e. if the game was called ‘Super-Cool-Shooter’ then is it ok to call my website SCSmaps.com?

    Any other relevant points welcome.

    Thanks all

You'll need to read the terms and conditions on what you can and can't do and whether you can make use of their name and whether you can create stuff without infringing their rights.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

It's easy enough for me to cheer up, for this I just need to give the opportunity to play my favorite video game. I often use the site https://askboosters.com/cod-mw-warzone/ because here they help me to increase the rating, which I could stay in the top.
