My Barclaycard limit was increased by£4000 despite the fact that I was paying £12 late fees regularly on the original £2000 limit. I accept that I was to blame for spending the extra £4000. I was already in difficulties and this seemed like a (short term) manna from heaven. I have tried very hard to pay the minimum needed over the past few years but due to the current covid issue this has become impossible to do and I am now in arrears. Would I have a case to challenge Barclaycard regarding the increase, as I was clearly not managing the original credit limit.*
