  • Offer Re contested will inheritance act

my sister was left out of my fathers will. She has applied for inheritance act. She has asked for 20,000.
** *She has stated why financially she needs this and my father had a moral right.
**Can I ask for financial proof ? Before I accept her offer, as I do understand the costs of litigation etc. It has been so easy for her to make a claim, with a no win no fee, my cost have risen. *And I would like for her costs to be higher too.

There is no point in forcing costs on any one.
If you place her in a position where she incurs costs, the probability is she will increase her demands to cover those costs,
but as she has a CFA in place the only increase in costs will be yours.

As we have no background to your question, it is difficult to be specific, but do you think seeing her financial situation in detail will actually make any difference?
Best to settle as quickly and amicably as possible
