Due to the protests my occupation has been on high alert. My direct boss told me to do something based off how another group responded. I did as instructed, and did as the other group. Was then punished and suspended saying I did not get approval from a superior. My view is, my boss (ie my superior) said to do this in case of this.
He denied saying that to me, but I have a witness. She heard him saying do this in this instance. Problem is, she did not hear where he said it was in response to the protests. She did hear that it was in relation to how the other group responded. Just not the part about the protests.
Summation, she heard my boss say do this if this group does this, she did not hear the part that related it to the protests. If she heard my boss say follow what this group does, does it matter if the protest part was unheard?
Certainly ticked about my suspension, because my boss can't own up to their own mistakes.
