  • audio recording as evidence in court

    Hello all.

I have a question about audio recordings as evidence in court, what are the rules?

Very long story short, I have an ongoing case with my dishonest landlord who denied (before I move out) what was agreed on the day I start living in his house. Since then I was recording important conversations between us in case he would like to do this again, and he did.
Now I would like to add this recording as evidence in my case.

I read on "law.co.uk". that "a private recording can be submitted as evidence, but with some conditions:
-A recording may be relied on in evidence if the court gives permission
-An application for permission should be made on form "C2"

I've downloaded form "C2" and it appears that it is for "Family Court" and I'm a bit confused.
Could someone please clarify this for me, and should I know anything else in this matter?

    Thank you.
