  • Moriarty Law/Merligen Investments Ltd/United Kash/Peachy Loans Pay day Loan Debt Help

    Hi Guys,

New here so not really sure how what to do as I am being chased for a debt that I am genuinely not sure is mine.

A number of years ago I lived at a shared house and whilst I was there I took out some payday loans and paid them off.

I moved out and heard that the was another person who had moved in and he was apparently up to no good applying for all sorts at the address with other peoples identity etc and as I have no recollection of this pay day loan and the debt I apparently owe I am intent on defending myself.

It appears that the original "debt" was owed to a company called Cash on go Ltd t/as Peachy.co.uk who are an online pay day loan company and the debt was then sold onto a rather amateur outfit who go by the name of "United Kash Ltd".

It then appears that this "Debt" was then sold on to a company called "Merligen Investments Ltd" who claim to be a "specialist consumer debt purchaser" and somehow and they have asked a company named "Moriarty Law Limited" to chase me and threaten me with legal action for this alleged debt.

A simple google for other people in the same boat suggested that I should send a CCA request which I did and I received a letter back which is attached to this thread.

I don't have a copy of my original CCA request letter which I know is not helpful but I do have Moriarty Law's response.

I have also checked credit safe and it appears that Moriarty Law Ltd's ultimate holding company is yep you guessed it Merligen Investments Ltd which I know isn't illegal but seems very immoral at best.

I need help understanding if I am legally bound to pay this debt as I do not acknowledge nor do I remember taking this out.

How does it work with the CCA and the prescribed terms?

As this payday loan was taken out online there is no wet signature to speak of just my name and address typed in the same font as the rest of the agreement.

From what they have sent me so far that is attached is this all correct and legal?

Do I need a notice of assignment from Merligen Investments?

    Is this worth defending?

I really would appreciate any help you could give me or what my next steps should be?

Also I must mention I have checked my credit profile and this debt is not on my file anywhere that I can see as a default is this normal and why would this be?

    Thanks Guys.

The date on the credit agreement is 2015 - had you moved out of the shared property by then?*
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Hi thank you for the reply, I am genuinely not sure if I was still there when this agreement was taken out if I am honest. Does the credit agreement look enforceable to you? I have no idea what to do next so any guidance would be appreciated
