  • Not recieving a parking charge notice

I received a letter from a debt collector saying that I overstayed at a private car park and have not paid the parking charge fine. They are collecting on their behalf. However, I never actually got a letter from the private parking company in the first place. When I inquired about it and asked for the letters, they emailed it to me but the letters were dated on 10.03.2020 and the parking incident occurred on 19.02.2020. Even though I own the car it was someone else driving it. Anyway, from what I have read up, the letter that was issued needed to be done within 14 days, but as per the date, it was more than that. Does that make the fines invalid? I have tried to appeal it via their website and still waiting back to hear from them.

    Any advice anyone?

If there was a windscreen ticket then they can only apply for the keepers details on day 28 and need to send the Notice to Keeper before day 56.* Without a windscreen ticket then the NTK must be delivered within 14 days.

Post up the redacted NTK, leaving the dates.
