  • paying a CCJ 9 2018)

    Hello,
Id like to pay off a £660 CCJ from 2018. I understand I dont pay the court directly, do i simply call the company who imposed it & pay it? I presume they then write to Northampton court on my behalf?

Secondly - will a mortgage lender take this into acount when applying for a mortgage, or is the fact that it is settled enough?

    Thanks

If you pay it off you then need to apply to the Court for a Certificate of Satisfaction, when accepted your CCJ is marked as settled but still stays on your Credit File. May make little difference in allowing you credit.

Thank you PlodderTom - i guess it is still better to pay it off than not though right?
Im just thinking, if it makes little difference, am i not better off putting that money into the deposit fund instead?
