Leaving assets/savings to someone living in Japan

Hi, I want to complete a will, but I don't completely understand about any legalities regarding leaving assets/savings to someone internationally, specifically Japan. My nominated executor is a UK resident, but I want to ensure various specifics are given to this person living in Japan. Can anyone give any information on any legal barring for international benefactors, how taxes might be applied and so forth.
