Department store defamation, false imprisonment, blackmail, accused of blatant theft

Wife & I were falsely accused of stealing by a major department store, three security guards followed me us to the railway station, they surrounded us in front of the general public who saw everything that was going on, blackmailed us, never apologised when they did not find anything on us:

So, basically the issues here are:
1. False imprisonment
2, Defamation of Character
3. Accused of Theft
4. Blackmail
5. Embarrassment*

They failed to reply to my wife and mine original letter dated 15th Dec 2019 as well as emails so we resent this month via both with recorded post. I also sent to their shareholders and after there reply a week ago, I told them to take the matter seriously and to send to their legal department.

*They not taking us seriously and as I mentioned in the first letter to them, I told them our statements will be swept under the carpet, ignored, just receive a standard PR letter. All this was true.

Can give you a higher payout of 10% of settlement case.

1. False imprisonment: possibly for a very short time
2, Defamation of Character: By what statement? and has this caused*serious harm to your reputation?
3.*Accused of Theft; but when they realised their error after a few minutes they left?
4. Blackmail: how?
5. Embarrassment: part of life!

1. We were kept there for 20mins.
2. Accused us of lying and them being 100% correct. I own a pub/restaurant/bar and some customers saw us being treated as a thief
3. They still have not realised their error...no one of them apologised at the time
4. She said if we took the matter further she would call the police.
5. Should not have happened

For a defamation claim you would need to show a slanderous* statement was made within the hearing of a third party and that it caused serious harm to your reputation.
IMO you would find that a problem.
Threatening to call the police is hardly blackmail .... why didn't you call her bluff?
