  • Reasonable adjustment?

Hi I am a civil servant working in a building that operates a hot desking policy. I have severe emphysema and have been hospitalized more than once with pneumonia (despite being vaccinated) most recently january 2019 I spent a week in hospital with double pneumonia. Were I to contract coronavirus my prognosis would be bleak given* I alteady have such poor lung function. I asked my line manager this week if I could have exclusive use of a desk to minimize the risk to myself. My line manager asked the general manager and was told no. (Something about me being at no more risk than anyone else which in itself is untrue, although my point was if I DID get the virus I was at increased risk.) My line manager asked if I wanted to ask Occupational Health to step in with a recommendation which I agreed to. My question is, am I being reasonable in expecting this adjustment? I think its entirely reasonable...It wont cost anything* just a reserved sign on a desk and it wont interfere with the business. The manager is aware my condition is defined as a disability.
