Hi all. *New to this, could someone please advise me, I bought a car from a car dealership who advertised the car I bought on numerous websites including there own as a 1 owner car, the original V5 wasn’t available but they assured me it was a 1 owner car, I went ahead and bought the car with a debit card £11000 and a px that they allowed £3745:00, I’ve now as I say received the new V5 stating 7 owners. We are the 8th now. *I’ve contacted them by email and phone and told them I want to return the car as it’s not as advertised, they are now ignoring my call etc, what can I do. I’ve sent this as a email. *I’ve removed some of the details due to data protection.*

      Dear Sir

      *

Ref:* – Audi TTRS 2.5 Quattro

      *

On 22nd February 2020 we purchased, the above vehicle Audi TTRS *from yourselves.

      *

On 2nd March 2020 we discovered that it was not as you advertised.

      *

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires dealers to supply goods that are fit for purpose, and as advertised. However, the vehicle is clearly not what was advertised, as you *stated the vehicle had only one previous owner. *There was no log book available to check the information, we have since found out the vehicle had seven previous owners. *(Copies of all advertisements available should you require) You are therefore in breach of contract.

      *

I am legally entitled to reject the vehicle and to be reimbursed the original purchase price of £14475.00. However, you can contact me by 4th March 2020 to discuss an alternative action. *I look forward to receiving your payment as a bank transfer for this sum within 7 days.*

      *

If you fail to reimburse me, I shall have no alternative but to issue a claim against you in the county court for recovery of the monies plus costs without further reference to you.

      *

      Yours faithfully,

      *

You ask "what can I do"
You gave them an ultimatum on 3rd March to* contact you regarding your rejection, or to discuss alternative action, or else you will initiate court proceedings.
You do not state what alternatives you would discuss.
You only allowed 24 hours for their response, which IMO is insufficient, although you give them 7 days to reimburse you.

Other than wait, there is little you can do till the 7 days are up..
I would not advise going round to their premises mob handed looking for your money!
