  • Executor refusal to pay

    Hi

Was left 500 pounds by my late grandmother in her estate and the executor of the estate my aunt is refusing to pay me she has said that my grandmother had made me a loan in 2013 and that i owed that money to the estate. No loan was made to me by my grandma but she has stated that it is my responsibility to prove that there is none, my solicitor has written to her to inform her that it is she who has to provide proof of this loan and requested she provides this proof. She has so far refused to provide any evidence of this alleged loans excistance after numerious requests what should i do next as she is now refusing to communicate.

    thank you

Write to the executor requesting payment, including the statutory interest if any is now due.
Tell her that if she doesn't act properly you will apply to the Probate Registry for an order that she exhibits an inventory and account in respect of her administration.
This may or may not do the business.
