  • Bank Parking ticket

    Hi All,
I parked last week at Merry Hill in a Blue badge space as I had my mom with me and she has a blue badge. However, when we got back to the car there was a ticket on the windscreen. Merry Hill is free to park so I could not understand why we had a ticket saying the blue badge was not valid. When we checked it had indeed run out. There is no doubt she will get another blue badge.
I have told them this but they said I still have to pay, it still stands. I did tell them I would see them in court initially, maybe not a smart move. And I will see them in court. I have a contract hire car so I have emailed them to tell them not to pay it if they receive it.
How can I move forward with this now, shall I just completely ignore them?
    Thanks
    Christine

Edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred,* use "the drive......" etc.

Have you given the name of the driver? Simple Yes or No.

So you do not ignore but wait for the Notice to Hirer to arrive after the hire company name you as the hirer.* They cannot, and should not, name you as the driver as they were not there.

With the NTH you should get a copy of the Notice to Keeper that went to the hirer and a copy of the hire agreement. Most don't send it and therefore fail to comply with the requirements of POFA paras 13 & 14 and therefore can't hold the keeper liable.*

Come back when you get the Notice to Hirer
