  • Right to buy council property issues

    Hi
wondering if anyone has answers to my issue. My mother who is 80. Has dementia, and has been a council tenant for around 60 years.

I have applied for the RTB. Having issues with gentoo legal team. Ran from Durham.

The Fraud legal team gave us the green light. But then asked for a medical mental capacity certificate from her doctor.

As after the meeting in my mothers home she thought my mother was confused, (she has Dementia.

I arranged the appointment. Doctor said he cant as it's not a medical issue it's a legal issue. And there is no such thing as a capacity certificate.

I emailed the legal team (young girl) who said I still need something. ?

Anyone came across this before North east area Sunderland.
