Can anyone answer this, please? What is the protocol for a doctor to send medical records to a solicitor if the solicitor has the client's permission to see them, but doesn't know what they contain? Sorry, I am new here, so will explain a little further. If the records contain sensitive information that should not be forwarded and harms the client; the doctor admits that they should not have been sent, is the doctor to blame or the solicitor, or no one?! Someone told me that the solicitor can sue the doctor, is that right? Or can the client sue the solicitor or the doctor for causing them considerable distress?
