I have applied for a position as a tutor and assessor at a college on 3 occasions. Initially the feedback was good and having 2 interviews I thought I would get the position as I am easily qualified to do the work and I have many years experience doing the job in other institutions and other education providers. However* I learned that this particular college merged with one that had dismissed me many years ago over an alleged harassment case with a learning assistant. Can this be the reason I fail to go no further in my applications and they stop contacting me and if this is the case, is it legal?
