    My mum has passed without making a will do we have to apply for probate/letter of administration my mum n dad were married shared all accounts and joint owners of the house we are hoping it will just pass to dad and nothing further has to be done estate value for mum n dad will be circa 200k my dad obviously is reluctant to deal with anything*

    Sorry to hear of your loss.

    If the house was held as joint tenants (as opposed to tenants in common) it passes to your father without problems.
    however the Land Register needs to be updated (https://www.gov.uk/update-property-records-someone-dies)

    The same with joint accounts, inform the bank of your mother's passing and they will amend the name of the account holder. They will need to see the death certificate.

    Probably no need to apply for letters of administration as any residuary estate will be small
