  • 3 month notice period and leaving early

    Hi

Looking for some advise please, 12 months ago In underwent TUPE process and effectively suffered a demotion and was given a new job title and role with no formal agreement. The new working atmosphere has been awful prompting me to look for a new position. I am now in the position where I have been offered a new job somewhere else and I have asked new new boss if I can work 11.5 weeks of my notice in order to start the new role as soon as possible. My boss is now saying I need to work 3 full calendar months and can not leave on the date that I have suggested in my resignation letter.

What would be the best course of action? Should I formally write back to say that I will not stay and that my proposition of 11.5 weeks is fair based on my current role and salary?

I have already confirmed start date with my new employer and don't want to push this back further as I hate working in my current role.

Hi, so it says 3 months and I know legally I am bound to that however I don't want to do the 3 months, I feel 11.5 weeks is fair and I'm just wanting advice on if I should respond to her email officially to say I will not work past this date or just walk out on that date
