  • PCP VT and excess mileage

Hoping for some advice as I am reading many different things online regarding VT of a PCP agreement and whether excess mileage is chargeable or not. I am no longer in employment as I am caring for my Gran full time so arranged a VT of my vehicle.
I had no charges other than a small amount of £118.84 VT shortfall which I have paid by bank transfer and also excess mileage.*
I called RCI today to explain that I can't afford to pay £892 in excess mileage as I am no longer in employment and explained that I needed to seek advice regarding this.*
Can you please advise if this charge is enforceable and could I actually end up in court for not paying? I have never been in debt or to court so it's quite daunting.*
    Thank you

We say no but finance companies will tell you yes - you decide whether you should pay them or not.

There is a specific section on excess mileage in my VT guide which should help you make an informed decision.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
