  • POPLA refused appeal. Payed initial fine. Parking Company asking for penalties

Car immobilised > 3 hours (exhaust broken).. POPLA refused appeal on grounds of overstay.. even though I have photos of exhaust and a mechanic who patched it up for me.

Since I've paid the initial fine, I suppose I have accepted liability.. but can they keep adding top-up penalties ? They say I paid late, but I only got One email to pay (the finale one apparently).
Now if I pay this extra penalty late, I get another penalty. I didnt think penalties could only be raised by Courts or Councils ?

I'd also like to complain to the chief ombudsman - Caroline Wayman, that POPLA ignored the fact the car was broken.

    thanks for any advice.

Complain to the BPA about the actions of their members when you were prevented by matters out side of your control to adhere to the contract, frustration of contract.

These are not fines, they are merely invoices for an alleged breach of contract.

Can you post up a redacted copy of the initial charge notice you received.* Leave dates.
