  • Painted leather sofa

I bought a 3 seater leather sofa and chair June 2017 from furniture village. After 2 years the brown leather started to vanish leaving another colour underneath. They sent out a guy to look at the issue and he said where its painted leather it's coming off. This set was near on £2500 so not cheap. He agreed he wouldn't be happy with this if it was his sofa yet he told the store there was no manufacturing fault. So the store refused to do anything. After more complaining they have agreed I can pick a new sofa and chair for £1500. I think this is very unfair as theres nothing near this price in store which us leather electric recline like I have now. I have bad health and I just dont need the stress of it. I have attached one photo but the issue is in various places.
Is there anything I can do to get a like for like replacement.?

are you sure that is real leather and not "bicast leather", which is *reconstituted leather fibres with a PVC coating on top.

Pretty obvious really that a leather sofa should last more tan a couple of years, so IMO you have a case for claiming the furniture was not satisfactory when bought on the grounds of durability, and are entitled to a refund. The retailer would be entitled to deduct a reasonable amount for the usage you have already had.
