Failed police vetting due to 3rdparty or association

Hi needing help, my daughter has failed vetting due to 3rd party, due to data protection no information can be provided. Though have given option to appeal.
what can we provide to help the decision. She has studied at uni and focused on the police, she is devastated.
we have found out father had issues 25 years ago though no convictions, though she was not aware of this. Would a letter to highlight this help alongside character references. Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Hi, I have just gone through the same thing, failed my police vetting due to a third party issue and unable to find out because of GDPR being breached. It’s quite infuriating.
