  • Transition period brexit

Hello everyone and thanks for the free support that this website provides. The 31st of January is coming and I have a few doubt about the upcoming transition period. I am planning to live in London until July and, in between now and the time I'll go back home, I am planning to go back a few times in Italy joining my family during holidays (so during the transition period). The question is: as a EU citizen, am I still able to go back to Italy and come back in the United Kingdom during the transition period without any restriction? Are passport checks exactly the same as the UK is still in the EU during this time? Are there any "harder" checks that could limit the entry?*

    thanks everyone for the support.

You might find the following link helpful in answering your question, under the heading the main Withdrawal Agreement text*and Citizen's Rights on the second bullet point. Short answer, yes you can move freely during the transition period.
